Gotz The Queen of the Night Doll 2006
Gotz The Queen of the Night Doll 2006
This is the doll who featured in the "Queen of Halloween" photo story on the blog. She's a Gotz doll made to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. She's officially called the Queen of the Night, a character from the Magic Flute Overture. The Queen of the Night is adorned with combs set with 30 Swarovski crystals and she was made to pay tribute to the great composer. The Queen of the Night was released in 2006 in a limited edition of 250. This doll is number 5. Her Gotz assigned code indicates that she was produced in 2005.

She has the most beautiful fragrance to her very pale vinyl and her hair is wigged. She has the Sarah/Hannah body and wears magnificent clothing right down to the underwear. She's artist sculpted by Sissel Skille for Gotz. The photos truly do not do her beauty justice.

Her gown is ivory satin lined midnight blue velvet. It is attached to the blue and gold lace brocade front. The brocade skirt is stitched by one stitch to the velvet fabric of the gown, it is intended for the stitch to be cut for the gown to fall properly.

The gown has a black feather collar and feathers to each sleeve above the deep blue and gold lace brocade cuff.

The gown fastens at the back with 3 metal poppers down the back to the waist.

The dress is entirely lined with ivory satin like fabric. She wears ivory socks and matt gold shoes.

The doll is wrapped in tissue inside the dress to reduce the likelihood of fabric dye transfer to the vinyl. She has the Gotz embossed logo on the back of her neck but this is partially concealed by her wig.

She wears gorgeous ivory panties edged with a dupion fabric ruffle and trimmed at the waistband with a bow. Above you can see the tissue paper covering the abdomen.

Her is The Queen of the Night's identification: Number 5 out of a Limited Edition of 250 and dated 2006.

She has her standard Gotz wrist tag and her certificate attached to the gown.

It looks like her wig is drawn up into a fastening such as a band and then feather plumes tucked inside. I do not want to disturb her hair to take a proper look, it is quite secure.
