Kidz 'n' Cats vinyl play dolls by Heart & Soul created by Sonja Hartmann first became available in June 2009.  Originally these dolls had 9 joints but those made today now have 11 joints.  Their hair is wigged kanekalon fibre and their bodies are fully vinyl.  These dolls measure 46cm or 18" in height.  They are highly posable; they can stand, sit, climb, kneel and take on a variety of different poses which makes them highly desirable to collectors who like to photograph them as well as to children. They are safe for 3 year olds to play with but are much more suitable for children over the age of 5 years as their jointed limbs can take a bit of practice to get the hang of posing.

This year the Kidz 'n' Cats doll family Sonja tells us counts 18 members, owing to the request of many customers not to allow the collection to grow too large.  Four girls had to make room for the newcomers, which includes a model with 'warm toned skin' called Kiki. Sonja described Kiki as Hispanic looking with nearly black hair which she wears a flower in. The retired dolls from 2012 are Nikola, Amber, Galina and Mareike.
There are no changes to the boy dolls, so there's still Jakob, Tim and the very popular Alister. There are also no new clothing lines for the Kidz 'n' Cats this year, but they can wear the new range of 18" Petite Fleur dolls' clothes which were introduced very late in 2012. Kidz 'n' Cats can wear Petite Fleur clothes but the latter cannot fit into the slimmer fitting Kidz 'n' Cats clothing.

Take a look at the five new Kidz 'n' Cats girl dolls:

Kidz 'n' Cats Annika new for 2013

Kidz 'n' Cats Stine new for 2013

Hard to choose between them but if you could choose one which would it be and why?  Early indications when I posted these pictures on facebook gave them pretty even 'likes' which was interesting!
