Thanks, Peggy! It was lovely fabric which helps. I didn’t do the fastenings quite right and it is a dead fit so I would probably need to improve it a bit if I made it again, which I would like to do some day!
I am getting excited about showing my strawberry dresses! I planned to put them on brunette dolls but Kitty said she ought to have one of the dresses as they matched her green eyes, and she is right!
I just quickly popped out front to take some photos of this dress. I made it a couple of years ago from one of Vanina’s patterns. I made a few but gave the others away. It is a little bit more complicated than some but it is lovely. I made some mistakes so don’t look too hard. Here it is on Clara Rose.
Right, I am off to sew again!
Lilli’s hat looks great! We always see the little mistakes in the things we make, but it usually doesn’t show up to others.
I live in the mountains of Utah, so several hours west of you. It’s so nice we can communicate this way, so the time difference doesn’t matter so much.
What you get with the patterns from Vanina is pretty basic, but the photos in her blog show how the patterns go together. It helps if you know French, but it isn’t really necessary.
The patterns I received from her had one version for Kidz n Cats and one for Maru and Friends. She said to use the Kidz n Cats version for Gotz dolls. With your experience, though, you’ll probably figure it all out.
