Pat, I do have the front pleats going the other way but it still looks wonderful. I see where it might not be clear. I said to fold them to the ‘inside’ and I will change that read to ‘center’ instead. Would that make it easier to understand?

Beautiful Pat! You did a wonderful job on this dress and I’m thrilled you were able to follow the pattern! Thank you so much for testing it out for me!

Thank you Maxine! This is wonderful! Thank you so much for letting me experiment here, and as Peggy said, for providing us with such lovely and fun models to work with!

I too have learnt a lot from Andrea’s patterns and very grateful to be given the chance to test them ,as one time I would never have dreamt I would be able to make a dress with sleeves .

Oh definitely, Pat! I do a lot of undoing on my sewing all the time. I just accept now that some seams will have to be undone. I used to get cross now I just accept it is part of the learning process. I have learned a lot from Andrea’s patterns already. I rarely make anything without undoing at least one seam. My next project is the shorts shirt and hat for the boys, and I will be way out of my comfort zone, but I am just going to sew slow when I get time, that is!

Thanks, Pat! I have been looking for an excuse to use that fabric! It might be my pleats that are wrong! Andrea will tell us when she wakes up!

Here are a couple of close ups, so Andrea can tell me whether I did the pleats right!! Although now I look, you can’t see them very clearly on the front photo!!
