I think as long as you are gentle with it, it works well. They are quite smooth to the touch so I can’t seem them doing a lot of damage but it always pays to be on the cautious side.

That’s very good to know Pam. Thank you. I was worried that it might harm the vinyl or finish, which I am sure is different from brand to brand.

Hi Andrea! Yes, I have used them many times on my Gotz dolls. They often get marks on them when I take photos and they fall over! I usually use the magic eraser to get rid of them quickly. Works a treat and doesn’t seem to affect the vinyl. I only use them gently but have found them very effective if the stain isn’t old and fixed already! I tried the magic eraser on a second hand doll too and the few spots came straight off.

    Thank you Pam!

I’ve watched a few restoration videos on Youtube for AG dolls and see that those white ‘magic erasers’ seem to be used a lot to try to remove marker, pen and other marks from the dolls. They look like they work quite well without removing too much of the finish. Has anyone tried them on Happy Kidz or Gotz in general? I haven’t needed to try them yet, but I always have those in the house.

I am starting a new topic for all dolls. Post anything here and/or questions to do with taking care of your dolls – hair, vinyl etc and also anything to do with repainting or customisation of dolls. All hints and tips welcome.
