Ginny, the dolls will have to take turns. Jolena has first dibs, but she was busy getting fitted for Marie’s cardigan, so Lotte filled in.

Pam, maybe you can get Maxine to carry some good bicycles. I think there are some other brands besides OG.

Ann, I’ve seen that one online. Is it metal?

Peggy, that is a fabulous bike. Love the color. I looked at the ones in Toys-R-Us yesterday. Purple and has a helmet. I didn’t buy it as I have no where to store it in the mess we are living in. I will get it once life is back to normal.

Peggy, that is a great bike. I love it. It looks totally real being metal. The ones in the UK are all plastic. I have looked for a metal one but I would have to pay postage from the US which appears to be between £25 and £50… I shall just have to enjoy yours!!

The bicycle is really cute, Peggy. It looks very well made and I love the colour. I expect Lotte can’t wait to get her helmet and have a ride!

Here’s Lotte with the Our Generation “Anywhere You Cruise” bicycle from Target. It’s primarily metal, with a plastic seat and basket, ribbon streamers and fabric flowers on the basket and rubber tires and handles. It has training wheels (which I will remove when the dolls learn to ride) but does not come with a helmet. It has a nonworking bell, for looks only. (Presumably the dolls won’t be moving fast enough to need to use the bell.) When the helmets arrive, I will get some outside photos.
I have also acquired a used American Girl bicycle from 2002. It was damaged in shipment, but I think it can be used with some fixing. It originally had hand brakes. When I bought it, it had one handbrake, and that was what broke off. It’s mostly metal, too. It has a stand instead of training wheels. I don’t think it’s any better made than the OG bicycle, in spite of being more expensive used than the OG bicycle new.

Thank you everyone for the kind words on the cube. I am thrilled with it. Even DH went in and admired it (rightfully so as he helped me put it together).

You do Peggy. I want a few things for the dolls; chair, mirror, sled, toboggan, bike to name a few. Next up is the clothes rack so I can hang a few outfits on it for display.
